“We are the low-tax party, or we’re nothing” Tory MP states we should’ve reduced national insurance and rid of VAT on energy.

On LBC, the former Brexit Secretary was asked what the Conservatives stand for when the Chancellor is outspending the Labour Party’s promises with taxes going up.

“We are the low-tax party, or we’re nothing” Tory MP states we should’ve reduced national insurance and rid of VAT on energy.

David Davis responded, “we are the low-tax party, or we’re nothing”. The Tory MP also stated that he would have preferred to have seen a reduction in National insurance and reduced VAT on energy.

He continued to say that as it stands, the Labour Party (who usually is for higher taxes) are now the low tax party after the tax hikes from the Conservatives.
