Today, Nadine Dorries has come out fighting for the PM. Though the Culture Secretary stopped short of naming the group of people who are gunning to oust the PM, we got a few clues to their motives.
Ms Dorries added that this group is a bunch of angry, disgruntled remainers, some of whom lost their cabinet seats when Boris Johnson took office. There are a few Tory members in Parliament that want to oust Boris in the hope that they will be able to run for PM.
The media have an understanding of who these people are, especially after Nadine Dorries responded with fury to a tweet written by the former leadership candidate, remainer and Health Secretary Jeremy Hunt.
Mr Hunt stated that he would be “voting for change” tonight, implying that he would not vote for Boris Johnson because he considers himself to have a shot at being the next Prime Minister.
The result of the vote will be given later tonight from 9pm.
