Nicola Sturgeon has received harsh criticism from Liz Truss, who refers to her as a “attention seeker” and advises that the best course of action is to “ignore her.”
At a hustings on Monday in Exeter, a member of the audience asked Ms Truss what she would do to help Scotland realise the benefits of the union. Ms Truss said that she would make sure that her policies had an effect on the whole UK.
If she were to become prime minister, she said, she would not permit a second referendum on independence.
She uttered: “I really believe we are better together. I think the best thing to do with Nicola Sturgeon is to ignore her. She is an attention seeker.”
