A Just Stop Oil activist who “shouted” during a television interview has, in the past jetted, thousands of miles away to Asia by plane.
Indigo Rumbelow, 28, who appeared on Sky News in a heated exchange with Mark Austin, previously made a 9,000-mile round trip to Asia, reports have claimed.
The activist, who once joined protesters glued to a section of the M25, has travelled to Nepal twice in the last seven years.
She clarified that other trips taken to Europe and any made since then were undertaken via rail or hitchhiking.
She has been labelled a “hypocrite” by Britons following her dramatic exchange with Mr Austin on Thursday.
Ms Rumbelow appeared on his show as a Just Stop Oil spokesperson to speak about the activist group’s tactics.
Mr Austin responded by asking her to “stop shouting at me” and adding that activists are “breaking the law”.
Following the news of her trips abroad, one commenter on Twitter said they were a show of “hypocrisy at its best”.
