A skip truck driver drove into a park, dodging the Just Stop Oil barrier while hurling profanities at police officers.
He mounted the sidewalk, accelerated across Stoke Newington Common’s grass and trees, and veered off the pavement on the other side of the street.
The incident occurred during the environmental group’s fourth “slow march” of the week, which earlier that day had shut down a dual highway in Whitechapel.
Following the incident, a police vehicle pursued the trucker on blue lights and pulled him over, reporting him for an alleged traffic infraction.
The trucker exclaimed, “You’re just as bad as them,” while giving the middle finger at the police officers who were observing the demonstration.
In order to rejoin the highway before Just Stop Oil’s “slow march,” the dump truck in north London made a little detour across the perimeter of the pedestrian park.
The bicycle who pushed his way through one of the classic Just Stop Oil orange banners and yelled obscenities at the crowd just before he erupted was the cause of his outburst.
For an hour, the gang used the “go slow” strategy on the congested A10 as many police officers merely strolled next to them for the second time that morning.
In another incident, an irate pedestrian threw an orange at police officers and said, “You’re not welcome,” before they told him to “leave Just Stop Oil to it.”
