To win over the largest corporations in the world, the Labour leader and his shadow chancellor are getting ready to mingle with the world’s elite in the Swiss ski resort of Davos.
It being reported by the Times that next week, Sir Keir Starmer and Rachel Reeves will go to the World Economic Forum where they will meet corporate executives, foreign leaders, and other world leaders.
To demonstrate to the super-rich that Labour is the party of business, they will attend the private event in the Swiss Alps.
A Source said as they lead-up to the next election, they want to “relentlessly” concentrate on the economy and growth. It seems the Labour Party will be parading to the WEF that they are the government in waiting by attending this private event.
It’s also being suggested by some that Starmer is going so he can be seen with world leaders. It seems unlikely that Rishi Sunak will be in attendance.
