Labour MP slams Suella Braverman after the Home Secretary refused to apologise for using the term “Invasion” when referring to Channel migrants entering the UK illegally.

Labour MP, Dawn Butler, has kicked off on Twitter after the UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman publically refused to apologise for using the term “Invasion” when referring to the illegal migrant crisis on the UK southern border.

Ms Braverman was asked by a Holocaust survivor who filmed herself asking the Home Secretary if she would refrain and apologise for using the term Invasion when referring to illegal migrants entering Britain.

Suella refused, saying, telling the truth on the gravity of the situation is nothing to be ashamed of. Hiding what’s going on isn’t the answer.

On Twitter, the Labour MP said: “This response from the current home secretary is tone deaf and a disgrace. It is also heartless and scary. I’m not suprised the government wants it taken down. I will help you show the world the type of people we have in government.”

With the left claiming words are acts of violence, is it any wonder some are pushing for self-censorship in the wider society as a tool to shut down any debate. Over 45000 migrants entered the UK illegally last year, with each one having to be housed and looked after at the taxpayers’ expense.

  1. She says it’s heartless and scary, but it’s also scary to think maybe an army is just moving freely into the country, there’s 2 ways of looking at it.
