Who saw the classified documents? – White House states: There are no visitor records for Joe Biden’s home.

Following Republican demands for the publication of President Joe Biden’s visitor log, the White House has issued a response.

President Joe Biden’s house in Wilmington, Delaware does not have any visitor logs, according to a statement made by the White House Counsel’s office on Monday. The declaration follows Republican demands for the release of President Biden’s visitor records after the discovery of classified material at his private house.

Both President Biden’s house and an office where he formerly worked at a think tank in Washington had at least 20 classified papers.

The records date back to President Biden’s time as Barack Obama’s vice president.

The information was first reported by CBS News, which also noted that certain files were classified as “Top Secret,” the highest level possible in the US.

James Comer, the head of the House of Representatives Oversight Committee, asked for the President’s visitor logs on Sunday after the White House announced the discovery of five more classified materials.

Mr Cormer sent the following in a letter to Ron Klain, the White House chief of staff:

“President Biden’s mishandling of classified materials raises the issue of whether he has jeopardised our national security.

“Without a list of individuals who have visited his residence, the American people will never know who had access to these highly sensitive documents.”

According to the White House, there are no visitor logs.

It was said: “Like every President across decades of modern history, his personal residence is personal.”

According to a Secret Service spokeswoman, the agency does not “independently maintain our own visitor logs because it’s a private residence.”

The Secret Service has previously claimed that they do not maintain visitor lists for presidential private houses, yet they now maintain a continual presence at President Biden’s home and screen guests before they are allowed inside.

The difference between Trump’s case and President Biden’s situation is that Biden possessed these papers before to becoming President of the United States, and so keeping secret documents is illegal.

Trump also kept the records under secret service protection, with the sensitive information locked away in a secure facility protected by the FBI and DOJ after they requested that more locks be installed on the door where the documents were kept

Biden, on the other hand, had the secret information lying about his house, which is why the request for visitor logs to his home, where he spends the most of his time, was made.
