Criminal people smugglers are using a break in the weather to increase small boat crossings in the English Channel this morning.
At least 170 people were brought to Dover by four small boats in the Channel overnight and this morning, according to GB News.
The Border Force Vessel Volunteer brought approximately 40 migrants from a single inflatable to the Dover port processing centre after midnight.
The patrol boat scooped up two more boatloads of about 90 migrants. Typhoon, another Border Force vessel, brought around 40 Channel migrants to Dover about 8:30am.
They’ll be checked at Dover before being sent to Manston, Kent’s Border Force main processing centre.

Today, over 1,000 Channel migrants may try to cross. Winter storms have halted crossings for two months. Since January, 590 migrants have reached Kent. Later today, weather will worsen till the weekend.
