The EU President is scheduled to meet with King Charles today at Windsor, which has caused some concerns as it could be interpreted as political involvement by the King.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson stated that the meeting was arranged based on “government advice”. It appears that PM Rishi Sunak may be seeking to present his agreement to Parliament with the endorsement of the King, something which has angered many in Northern Ireland and ERG (European Research Group)
