Today on BBC Radio 4’s Today programme, host Nick Robinson grilled Isabel Oakeshott for her decision to make Matt Hancock’s private WhatsApp messages public.
The BBC host tried to discredit the journalist by accusing Isabel of releasing the messages for financial gain, but Ms Oakeshott vehemently denied the claim.
Mr Robinson appeared to express greater outrage over the release of Hancock’s messages than the deaths of over 17,000 people that resulted from Hancock’s actions.
Isabel Oakeshott stated that she made the decision to release the messages because it was in the public interest to know what had transpired.
